2010 - Emanuele Pirro joins Drayson Racing for his LMP1 racing return. He will co-drive the Drayson Racing Lola B10/60 with Judd V10 power with Paul Drayson (London/Gloucestershire, UK) and Jonny Cocker (Guisborough, UK) at the 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Petit Le Mans. Continues as an Audi Brand Ambassador and will campaign in select racing events for Audi.

 

2009 - Becomes Audi Brand Ambassador. 24 Hour of Nürburgring with Audi R8 LMS. Wins 6 Hour of Vallelunga. Races twice in the Porsche Cayman Cup two wins.

 

2008 - Races in the American Le Mans Series winning the Petit Le Mans. Competes in his 12th 24 Hour of Le Mans. Wins Goodwood Freddie March Memorial. Works Audi driver for the 15th consecutive season.

 

2007 - Wins 24h of Le Mans for the fifth time. Ninth consecutive Le Mans podium setting an all-time record. Raced in the American Le Mans Series winning the 12 Hours of Sebring racing the Audi R10. Works Audi driver.

 

2006 - Wins 24 Hours of Le Mans - first time in history with for a diesel-powered car at Le Mans. Races in the American Le Mans Series. Audi Works driver.

 

2005 - American Le Mans Series Champion for the second time. Wins the Petit Le Mans for the second time. Finishes second at the 12 Hours of Sebring and third in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Wins the Goodwood TT trophy. Works Audi driver.

 

2004 - Third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, second at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Competed in the DTM German Touring Car Championship with Team Joest. Works Audi driver.

1988 - Debuts as McLaren Honda F1’s test driver. Races in Japanese F3000 Championship and the Japanese Grand Champion Championship in formula cars while living in Japan. Wins the Wellington 500 for the first time. Races as a works BMW driver in the Italian Touring Car Championship.


1987 - Has his first F1 test with the Benetton BMW F1. Races in the Macau GP in F3 series. Third in the World Touring Car Championship. Works BMW driver.


1986 - Finishes second in the European F3000 Championship with the works Marlboro March Team Onyx. Competes in the Macau GP - F3 Series – and the 24 Hours of Spa with a BMW 635 CSL. European Touring Car Championship. Works BMW driver.


1985 - Third in the European F3000 Championship driving for the works Marlboro March Team Onyx. Macau GP in F3. 24 Hours of Spa with BMW 635 CSL. European Touring Car Championship. Works BMW driver.


1984 - Sixth in the European F2 Championship with the works Marlboro March Team Onyx. Raced at the Macau GP F3.


1983 - Raced to third in the European F3 Championship with a Ralt Alfa Romeo.


1982 - Runner-up in the European F3 Championship with Marlboro Euroracing Alfa Romeo.


1981 - Won in his inaugural attempt in the 24 Hours of Daytona with the works Lancia Montecarlo Martini. Follows that with a win in the 9 Hours of Kyalamy with the Lancia effort. Raced in the European F3 Championship to sixth for the season with a Martini Toyota.


1980 - Debuted in formula cars winning the Italian Formula Fiat Abarth Champion.

Outside the Cockpit:
Emanuele Pirro is a man of many interests and passions. Dedicated to his craft, he has a committed training regime which includes a large workout facility in his home. He has a love for building scale replica cars and airplanes, collects frog figurines from around the world, enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and brings together his love of scuba and photography creating exquisite underwater images. A fine cook, visitors to his web site (www.pirro.com) can find a collection of recipes he enjoys making at home. He owns a software company (www.tvk-project.com) for setup simulation of competition go karts. Is in the hotel business, owns 3 Le Mans which has four hotels: www.parkhotelfaloria.it, www.miramareecastello.it, www.hotelmareblu.it, www.romerooms.net and owns a sports clothing company called Adrenalina (www.adrenalinaracing.it). Flies his own plane, a Mooney M20. He is member of the “Nazionale Piloti” and the “star Team for Children” of Prince Albert of Monaco soccer team. Pirro lives in his native Rome with his wife, Marlene and two children.
