Lord Drayson, Minister for Science and Innovation in the United Kingdom, introduced Drayson Racing to the international sportscar community in 2009. After racing in the GT2 class – including its 24 Hours of Le Mans debut - Drayson Racing switched drivers Paul Drayson and Jonny Cocker to the LMP1 category with the Lola Coupé and Judd V10 power on Michelin Tyres for the final events of the season. Under the direction of multi-time Le Mans and championship-winning Team
Manager Dale White, Drayson Racing earned one pole position, two fastest race laps and the Michelin® Green X® Challenge at the Okayama (Japan) Circuit in the Asian Le Mans Series.
In its first, full season of prototype racing, Drayson Racing will undertake an aggressive, world-wide schedule in the American Le Mans Series, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Asian Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Cup (Petit Le Mans,
Silverstone and an Asian Le Mans Series race). Drayson and Cocker will share the Lola B10/06-Judd V10 with five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro in the endurance races of 2010.
Drayson Racing continues its longstanding belief that motorsport can be utilised to pursue victories whilst also advancing environmental efficiency and responsibility in motoring.
